1. I want to lease my house – how do I get started?

If you are interested in leasing your house via Home to Rent simply get in touch with us. After a short telephone introduction, if we think we can help you we will make a visit, without any obligation, in order to discuss the possibilities of letting the residence.

2. You’ve chosen Home to Rent

If you’ve chosen Home to Rent’s services, then this will be confirmed by an Order for Service Provision (OSP), which is then signed by both parties.

3. Acceptance of the property

Once the property has been accepted we will go over the information relating to the lease with you. In addition, at the request and expense of the client, photographs and/or floor plans/NEN measurements will be made which can be posted on various websites. After the property has been accepted we will write a text and the property will be posted online as quickly as possible. 

4. Posting the property online

As soon as Home to Rent has all the necessary information about the residence it will be posted on various websites including Home to Rent, Funda.nl , Pararius.nl , Xpat Rentals, Jaap.nl and on Home to Rent’s social media channels.

5. Arranging viewings for potential tenants

We will let you know in advance when we will be holding viewings for potential tenants. When a candidate actually wants to rent the property, he/she will be introduced to the owner. Home to Rent will select a suitable tenant for you using an extensive screening procedure. Ultimately, you the owner decide who will be offered the residence.

6. Drawing up and signing the lease

As soon as a new tenant has been selected, a lease will be drawn up by Home to Rent. Before the lease is sent to the new tenant you as lessor will receive a draft version. After the lessor and lessee have agreed, Home to Rent will ensure all the necessary documents are signed. In addition, Home to Rent will collect the first month’s rent and the security deposit on behalf of the owner.

7. Inspection and key transfer

When the lease has been signed by both parties, Home to Rent will take care of the inspection of the property and key transfer. During the key transfer the residence will be inspected using an extensive inspection report and/or inventory. Furthermore, a photographic report will be made of delivery of the property as a supplement to the inspection report. Within two weeks of delivery of the property, both the tenant and the owner will receive an email along with all the documents signed by you, as well as the photographs.
